It's been successfully launched on last June the 5th a special exhibition of contemporary art, "L'Anima dell'Acqua- Contemporary Art": just to celebrate this fundamental element of life there's no better location than Venice, "the city Water" by definition.

Through the unpublished works of the Venetian artist Fabrizio Plessi, video installations by Bill Viola and the poems of some important contemporary poets (such Pontiggia, Cenni, Rondoni, Mussapi, Conte Cera Rosco), the exhibition allows the visitor to complete a suggestive journey in the many facets of the water, a metaphor of life as no other element which has implicit in it all the conditions of the human being, from life to death, from cleaning to rebirth.

Water has inspired the creative talent of many artists like Gilardi, Raffaelli and Ghibaudo, and to admire the sense that each of them attaches were identified eight main areas: "Liquid Thought", "Maternity", "Water and Femininity", "Voyage", "Oblivion", "Transformations", "Purification and Rebirth", and "Thirst".

"L'Anima dell'Acqua- Contemporary Art" required a considerable deploying of resources: that's why you can't miss such an interesting cultural appointment like this, an event that has so far proved such an incredible success (40,000 visitors in 4 months) that the date of closing originally scheduled for November 22 was postponed to 2010, February 28.
